ASBESTOS CREEK FALLS |
||
| RATING - 4/10 TYPE OF APPROACH - Roadside DIFFICULTY - Very Easy LOCATION - Darrington Area TYPE - Tiered HEIGHT - 600' WIDTH - 10' |
Asbestos Creek Falls is a very tall, though relatively small volume, waterfall that is very similar to many of the other falls along the Mountain Loop Highway. The difference here is that you can see this one up close and personal. The falls are probably around 1000' tall, but you can't see the whole thing from the base. | |
| DIRECTIONS - Take
the Mountain Loop Highway south of Darrington for about 2 miles to FR 2060. The
falls are right next to the road in a couple miles. You can climb on a very rugged
little trail above the bottom tier of the falls. NEARBY WATERFALLS - Asbestos Falls |
