CHANGE CREEK FALLS |
||
| RATING - 3/10 TYPE OF APPROACH - Bushwhack DIFFICULTY - Extremely Difficult LOCATION - Ollalie State Park TYPE - Tiered HEIGHT - 125' WIDTH - 10' |
|
Change Creek has several tiers of waterfalls that can only be viewed one at a time. This condition makes for a disappointing situation when the falls could be so much more impressive. The top tier is a short little plunge that is immediately followed the the tallest tier of the falls, a 65' tall stairstep-y drop pictured here. There are two more tiers below this but they aren't as impressive as the main drop. Either way, this waterfall is really not all that great considering how difficult it is to view. |
| DIRECTIONS - Head
east on I-90 and take Exit 38. Drive east for a short distance to a big parking area
on the left side of the road. Find the trail up to the old railroad trestle over the
creek. Just before getting to the trestle, head left into the woods and start
heading upstream, passing various tiers of the falls along the way. This falls is
pretty tough to get to for the quality of the falls at the end. NEARBY WATERFALLS - Hall Creek Falls, Weeks Falls |
