Nooksack Falls is one of the more famous and easy accessible falls in Northwest Washington. The falls are located a very short drive off the Mt. Baker Highway and are a frequent stop for visitors on their way up to the Mt. Baker Ski Resort. There are actually three segments to the falls much of the year, but only two of them are easily viewable. The third, lefthand segment is just barely visible in the picture to the right. | |
| DIRECTIONS -
Take the Mt. Baker Highway east from Bellingham. About 7 miles past the
Glacier Ranger Station, turn right onto Wells Creek Road #33 (signed for Nooksack
Falls). The parking area is just before the bridge over the Nooksack. Follow a
short trail to the right side of the road to see the falls. DON'T TRY TO CLIMB TO
THE CREEK BED. Many people have died here trying to get a better look. NEARBY WATERFALLS - Excelsior Falls, Landslide Falls, Lower Mazama Falls, Mazama Falls, Sholes Creek Falls, Wells Creek Falls |
