PITCHFORK FALLS |
||
| RATING - 5/10 TYPE OF APPROACH - Trail DIFFICULTY - Fairly Easy LOCATION - Perry Creek Trail TYPE - Tiered HEIGHT - 800' WIDTH - 10' |
Pitchfork Falls occurs where two streams tumble hundreds of feet down the eastern slope of Stillaguamish Peak and then combine for one final drop. The total height of the falls is about 800'. The left segment of the falls starts with a drop of around 300' followed immediately by back-to-back 100 footers. The righthand segment does it backwards with two 100' drops above a 200' main drop. Below this the two creeks combine and drop another 100' or so. On my trip the water level was very low but it was abundantly clear that this would be a spectacular falls at peak volume. I'll head back next Spring to get a better view and the rating should go up after that. | |
