During the summer, the small stream which contains this waterfall is very small in volume but I've never seen it run dry. When I visited the falls it was at about as high of a water level as it ever gets and it was very impressive. The falls begins with a straight plunge around 50' tall. Immediately below that is a segmented horsetail drop around 30' tall followed by several smaller drops. In all the falls total just over 100' in height. Getting a clear view of the falls is extremely tough and pictures are almost impossible to get thanks to the vast amount of small trees and brush around the creek. I named the falls after nearby Reveille Island. |
| DIRECTIONS - Follow
the directions to Prospector Falls. Continue along
the trail for another .5 miles to the small creek harboring the falls. The main drop
of the falls can't be seen from the trail and a short bushwhack is required to view
it. The easiest way is just to walk straight up the creek. NEARBY WATERFALLS - Austin Creek Falls, Prospector Falls, Trataka Falls, Tyler Falls, Wildwood Cascades |
